Thank you for your interest in volunteering at SPCA of Lake County

We are a non-profit organization offering low cost / high volume spay & neuters of dogs & cats in Lake County.

We are run by a volunteer board of directors with the trained veterinary staff and time generously donated by volunteers.

Each person that signs up to volunteer plays an important roll for a successful clinic. It is not glamorous work, but without the volunteer staff, we wouldn't have anyone to monitor the dogs post operatively or someone to clean, pack and serialize the surgical equipment for the next surgeries.

While we will most likely never be an animal shelter again, we are able to provide much needed services at affordable rates BECAUSE we have amazing volunteers that are willing to join together to make a difference in the lives of Lake County dogs, cats and their owners. Working together we can accomplish great things.

7am - 9am

Schedule *

Due to close working quarters, SPCA of Lake County requires all in person volunteers to be mindful of the others participating at the clinic.

PLEASE do not attend if you are in ANY way feeling under the weather or have had an exposure to COVID.

PLEASE let us know if you can't come to your shift. Every shift has duties that MUST be covered by someone else doing double duty if you are a no show.

I will reach out to the volunteer coordinator if I have had a positive exposure to COVID within 2 weeks prior to my shift, am feeling unwell or am running a fever.

If my schedule changes and I cannot be there for my scheduled shift, I will contact the volunteer coordinator so they can find someone else to cover my duties
