Second Year Advisor Application
The Oklahoma Association of Student Councils is chaired by an Executive Director and the adult members of the Executive Board are made up of a 1st , 2nd and 3rd Year Advisor. Serving on the OASC Executive Board is a three year commitment, beginning at the annual state conference and ending three years later at the conclusion of that year’s state conference. As a member of the Executive Board, the advisors attend board meetings at the state conference host school twice to oversee the state convention plans (January and September), execute duties as necessary at each state conference, and lead the Oklahoma Delegation to Nationals. Serving on the OASC Executive Board is an unpaid position. Mileage to meetings is covered by the OASC.  Meeting via zoom and/or via conference calls as a board to set goals and check progress monthly or every other month should be expected.


2nd Year Advisor Duties: 
ARTICLE III-B 
SECTION 3. The second year advisor shall be the advisor for the election committee of the annual convention. He/She shall prepare and certify to the Executive Director the official list of all candidates and the number of votes received by each, which are to be posted immediately following the elections. The second year advisor shall be the official advisor in charge of the Oklahoma Delegation to the National Association of Student Councils to develop an itinerary for the travel to the NASC Conference, set costs for travel, receive and distribute travel costs and handle all correspondence with the Oklahoma Delegation about the NASC Conference.


Article VI
SECTION 2. The state advisors shall be elected at the advisors' meeting of the annual convention; each serving a term of three years. These advisors shall be referred to as first, second, and third year advisor. The duties of each advisor are defined in this Constitution and its By-Laws. The application to run for First Year Advisor is due with all other campaign information before the annual convention. The advisor running must be a member of the OASC for a minimum of 3 years and is a current student council advisor. If no applications are received, then nominations will be taken from the floor during an advisor business meeting
