Course Descriptions:
(1) Living Out Rabbi Jesus’s Design for Us

How did Jesus’s Jewishness and that of his first hearers affect how they understood his message? What is a “bad eye”? What ancient tale might his audience have remembered when he told the tale of the Good Samaritan? What are the nuances and insights that we can miss when we don’t take that into consideraon? We’ll start off with looking at how this aspect of reading Jesus’s words can enrich and enlighten us. Then we’ll branch off into looking at some other mely topics: God’s design for the family; the SHAPE way of finding our unique place in God's mission; and, a hot topic for our society: a theology of gender.
(2) When God’s People Pray

Prayer can change lives and circumstances like nothing else can, if we are speaking to the one true and almighty God
through Jesus. What are the keys that unlock its power, that turn prayer from a mere acvity into a vital link with God and all his resources? In this class we will be using the video course “When God’s People Pray” by Pastor Jim Cymbala, the pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle, to learn the biblical truths about prayer and apply into our own lives.
(3) What is God’s design for marriage?
The Marriage Mentors
When two people care so much for each other, why do they sll struggle so much in their marriage? What are realisc and praccal ways to increase the **TRUE JOY** in marriage?
In this class, we will answer the queson, “What is God’s design for marriage?”. This class is for everyone who is married, who plans to marry in the future, who knows someone who is married or plans to marry, or who has children who may someday need guidance in marriage. Exercises will be taught to help strengthen marriages and provide assistance with real -life challenges.
