Laveen School District's Request for Kindergarten Early Entry Exception
In accordance with Governing Board Policy, children must be five (5) years of age by August 31st in order to enroll in kindergarten. Currently, the District also allows an early entrance exception for those students who reach the age of five (5) by December 31, 2024.

The decision to allow for an early entrance exception will be made when it is clearly indicated that a child exhibits skills in areas of development that will most likely assure a successful and satisfactory kindergarten experience. A screening administered by the school will assess these areas of skill development to determine your child's eligibility for this early entrance exception. The test will be conducted in English.
