Audition REGISTRATION
We are excited to announce details for our Winter musical production, WINNIE THE POOH KIDS, with four performances held on the Treehouse Theater HOME Stage.  AUDITIONS are open to youth, ages 6-12, and up to 30 students will become cast members. 

DO NOT register to audition if you or your child is unable to highly prioritize this production within the family calendar.  We are also offering Audition Prep classes on Jan 2 & 3, 2023 ~ register online at CLASSES | Treehouse Theater | Manitowoc, WI

AUDITIONS, Jan. 4 & 7, 2023

WHAT TO PREPARE:
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email from info@treehousetheater.com with your assigned 60-minute AUDITION TIME SLOT.  Also attached to this email will be items from the show/script:
    - two .mp3 music files
    - two sheet music files
    - one short scene that features six different characters

All students should practice singing one or both of these songs at home, preferably to become fully memorized, and should come prepared to sing one of them during their audition.

Ages 8-12 are strongly encouraged to practice reading the short scene and play with different voices for the six characters that speak.  Ages 6 & 7, if good readers, are also invited to practice reading the scene, but it is not required.

WHAT TO BRING and WEAR:
Students should bring a labeled water bottle and wear clothing that is comfortable to move in as they will be tested on rhythm and keeping the beat plus learn a short dance combination.  If they have jazz or ballet shoes, please wear them; otherwise, tennis shoes are okay too.  ** If cast, students will need to wear/purchase jazz shoes for rehearsals and performances

PARENTS of auditioning students are welcome to stay, assuming they simply observe quietly.

FIVE weeks of Rehearsal, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 pm plus Saturdays from 9-11 am
    - Actors are only called (needed) at specific rehearsals; detailed schedule sent via email
    - Only minimal conflicts are acceptable and must be recorded below
    - Unexcused absences are stressful for all cast and crew, so they will not be tolerated

FOUR PERFORMANCES, will be held on the weekend of Feb. 25 & 26 at the Treehouse Theater HOME Stage, with $6 Tickets that must be purchased online 

Limit of SIX tickets per registered family, until all families have completed their initial purchase

  • Participation Fee of $200 is due NO LATER THAN January 21 (a $50 late fee will be assessed after)
  • Scholarship application deadline is January 19
  • Tickets to performances are NOT included

I understand that being confirmed as a cast member in the Treehouse Theater musical production of WINNIE THE POOH KIDS is a privilege and a commitment that my child MAY earn through Auditions.  I will support my child in timely attendance of all rehearsals.  All known conflicts during the rehearsal calendar have been properly noted on this form so unexcused absences will be minimal, if any.  As a condition of my child’s participation in this production, I hereby release and hold harmless Treehouse Theater and all of their respective owners, employees, volunteers, agents and representatives, from and against all claims, damages, and other liabilities whatsoever, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, or property damage, which relate in any way to my child’s involvement. *
