Hey people,
ESN VSB – TU Ostrava goes hiking again. This time we will conquer the Smrk mountain which is the second-highest mountain of the Beskydy mountain range. We have ordered sunny weather 😊, so you can look for outstanding views while being fresh air.

During the trip you can choose between 2 difficulties:
1) Medium: 15 km in total (like hiking trip Lysá mountain)
2) Hard: 22 km in total (different way uphill and downhill -> more things to see)

For a pleasant experience, we strongly recommend bringing proper outdoor shoes, snack and drinks for the whole day because there is no cottage on the top.

We will gather money for transportation from Ostrava to the mountain and back on a train during the trip. Therefore, please bring approx. 30 CZK (with ISIC card) or 150 CZK (without ISIC card) in cash.

In order to avoid long waiting, this time, we will meet at 8:00 at the train station Ostrava – Svinov (between the train station building and bus stops). Please be on time because at 8:10 we will count all present participants and buy a group train ticket. Latecomers have to buy their train tickets on their own. Our train departs at 8:25.
Recommended connection from dormitories in Poruba:
Bus 37 from Studentská stop at 7:45 or tram 8 from Rektorát VŠB stop at 7:46.
