This application can be completed online or you can request a printed copy to fill out and return to the church office.
Membership gives you the opportunity to publicly declare your faith, commit to the life of our church community, and fully participate in the life of the church. In the PCUSA denomination membership allows you to vote and hold office, if elected, as an elder or deacon.
This is one step in the process of becoming a member as required by the PCUSA denomination. In addition to this application you will need to:
- Submit an affirmation of faith (Answer 2 questions on this form or submit separately if more room is needed)
-Attend a class (online or in person), that goes over the basics of Presbyterian beliefs, church government, and avenues for participation
- Meet with session so we can get to know you better and so you can officially be received as a member
- Be received and celebrated during worship where you will answer four questions, listed below, in front of the congregation thus professing your faith publicly
(Baptism is also required - baptism from any Christian church is accepted. If you have not been baptized we can baptize you before you are received into membership by the congregation.)
