JB is proud to support our associates and their families. We believe in a culture of growth and encourage learning and development throughout life. The JB Scholars Program was established to assist JB associate’s children as they pursue growth beyond high school.
In making scholarship awards, primary consideration is given to the applicant’s essay responses and is supported by a recommendation from an adult who is familiar with the applicant and their achievements.
Here are the details about applying for the JB Scholars Program:
Student Applicant Must:
- Be a *dependent child of a JB associate, who has completed 90 days of service. *The same requirements apply as per the child dependent section on the JB medical summary plan description.
- Plan to attend an accredited undergraduate post-secondary school, community college or vocational school.
- Non-accredited or GPA System schools using passing or failing grading would be at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
- Maintain a 2.5 or greater undergraduate college GPA.
Financial need is not a criterion for this award, but rather the merit of the application.
At the time the scholarship is paid, the associate must be actively employed at JB. Recipients of a scholarship must reapply yearly. A recipient can be awarded a scholarship a maximum of 4 times.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 19th, 2024
The following are required when applying for a scholarship:
- Application for JB Scholars Program: Complete the current year application form.
- One Recommendation: Submit one recommendation form from an adult who is familiar with you and your achievements (i.e. teacher, employer, coach, etc.). This adult must be a non-family member.
- Most Recent Institution Transcript(s): Submit your high school or post-secondary academic transcript(s) as applicable.
