School Site Council/English Learner Advisory Committee Election Ballot
MacDonald High School currently electing new members to serve on our School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). The SSC is an elected body with the important role of overseeing the School Plan for Student Achievement, ensuring it supports the goals of the school and district, and assessing periodically the effectiveness of the program. The ELAC is also an elected body which advises in the development of a site plan for English learners and submitting the plan to the SSC for consideration of inclusion in the School Plan for Student Achievement, assisting in the development of the school-wide needs assessment and ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.
The three parents with the highest number of votes will be elected to MHS SSC/ELAC. These meetings are open to the public and all parents are welcome to attend.

I am excited about the opportunity for my daughter to attend this impressive new school in our neighborhood. Throughout my professional career, I have demonstrated a successful commitment to provide service to our country, our schools and many other service organizations. I am committed to assist MacDonald High School any way I can be of service.

Financed college and law school working in a retail grocery store, and clerking for law firms in Cincinnati, Ohio. University of Cincinnati, BA Political Science, JD Law. Illinois, Ohio and Federal Bar, Northern District of Illinois.
Began career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 1973, as an administrative employee while in law school. After graduation from law school and the bar exam, promoted to Special Agent (SA) and trained at FBI Academy. Served in operations/staff positions throughout United States and FBI Headquarters (FBIHQ), Washington D.C. Acquired extensive investigative, management and leadership skills through education and experience. Retired from the FBI in 2003, as Senior Executive Service/Global Chief of the Violent Crimes and Major Offenders Program, including Crimes Against Children, Gangs, Kidnapping, Extortions, Bank Robberies and Major Thefts.
Core values include family, integrity, service, competency, synergy, collegiality, mission and sense of humor. Post FBI, focus has been on entrepreneurial activities, community service and providing day care for my daughter. Additional activities include teaching at University of Phoenix, serving as a commissioner on the Santa Clara County Juvenile Justice Commission, President of the Villagio Homeowners Association, government liaison volunteer for the Red Cross, a member of the San Jose Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), volunteer classroom activities at Washington Open School and Vice President of Parent Faculty Board.

I am a mother of three  teenager boys, who all in high school.. they are a senior,  a junior and of course  a freshman. I graduated  from Santa Unified school  district  and I have been working  for the district  for the last 6 years. Before  I started  working  for the district  I  was an Early  Childhood  Educator for 14 years. I am excited  about the new school  and being an active  member  of the community. 

Andrew Seago - 
I have previously served as SSC President, and have served as an interim SSC member for MacDonald. I also participated in the curriculum workshops for Kathleen MacDonald. My passion in SSC is transparency and accountability in funding.
