The resource features global majority

* Dance Works that can be studied in schools
* Artists, workshops and CPD
* Music list

If you're a global majority artist or company and you'd like to be included on the next round of our resource list please fill out this form.

*Global majority includes, but is not limited to, artists of African, North African, South Asian, South East Asian, East Asian, Caribbean, Latinx, Middle Eastern, Native American, Native Australian, Pacific Islanders, Roma and Traveller heritage or diaspora, and refers to people who have experienced racism due to the colour of their skin or ethnicity. We do not want to lump individuals into one category and try to be specific when talking about individuals and communities.

Our aim is to create better representation in dance in the curriculum and to celebrate and represent the many and varied voices within our sector.

The creation of this resource came about from the decolonising the dance curriculum roundtable group who formed in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement to advocate for change in the curriculum and to make the case for better representation in dance education.
The roundtable is made up of dance companies, education representatives from the examination boards,  freelance dance artists, community groups, teachers and young dancers.

If you are interested in joining the roundtable we would love to hear from you. You can tick to join the roundtable in the form below.

The decolonising the dance curriculum roundtable members are responsible for updating the resource and sharing new additions to the resource with its members, so a member will be in touch to follow up your request.

We plan to launch the next updated resource in March 2023.
