We are in desperate need of an Operations Lead. As such, we would like to hire a full time entry-level Operations Associate that will trial this position for 90 days and if it is the right fit, will become a full-time operations lead and ultimately a much higher position as the co-op grows. We believe a trial period will help us find the best person for this position.
This job will require full-time hours (including some Saturdays) of about 6 hours per day. Some days could be 2 hours and some days 8-10 hours, balancing out to be about 40 hours per week.
For this position, we are looking for a passionate, creative innovator that is hard working, gracious, fun and overcomes obstacles with grace and ease and can also adapt and pivot quickly. We have a very exciting field that is constantly changing, which makes each work day exciting, but also perfect for the person that loves to be at the cutting edge of innovation in the food world. We have created new roads in the world of meat and food buying and so our inside work is also doing the same - creating new processes and operations beyond the standard norm.
The job time breakdown is approximately:
1/3 - computer time, running reports, tracking inventory, and data organization, product updates, etc.
1/3 - warehouse time, packing pallets, physically tracking inventory, potentially operating fork lifts, lifting boxes, packing boxes. This is a physically demanding time, lifting boxes up to 60lbs.
1/3 - on the road driving the van or future box truck and possible overnight travel to our outlining delivery and pickup areas.
There may also be some other travel opportunities to future growth areas, conferences and expos.
After 90 days, this person would also be managing the drivers and warehouse team and processes. The operations side of the house is responsible for successful fulfillment of the co-op orders.

Please note, our current warehouse space is in Ogden. UT and much of your work will take place here. Also, our team all works remotely on the computer side of the house, but there are occasional in-person work days and meetings, generally taking place at our office space in Clearfield.
