This form is only for those who want to sign up as an Introduction Guide to lead a group during the Introduction Week in February 2023. If you want to join as a participant, you can buy a ticket online via our website: https://www.esn-groningen.nl/esn-introduction-week/

Important Information

The ESN Introduction Week for the spring semester takes place from Friday the 3rd of February until Wednesday the 8th of February. Please consider the responsibilities of being an Introduction guide for a group of international students that are in Groningen for the first time.

By filling in this Google Form, you understand and agree with the following:

  • You will take care of a group of around 16 students together with another Introduction Guide during the ESN Introduction Week, which takes place from the 3rd of February until the 8th of February.

  • Please be aware that participants can sign up until Friday, the 3rd of February, which is the first day of the Introduction Week. This means we can't tell you beforehand how many vegetarians/vegans etc. will be in your group. Please try to cook something basic where you can keep the meat separate.

As an Introduction Guide you agree to comply with the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure that your Introduction Group will go to the events during the ESN Introduction Week of February 2023.

  • Comply with ESN Groningen's zero-tolerance policy regarding the usage of soft/hard drugs and or other hallucinogens. This applies to all events and activities.  

  • Comply with the policy on prohibited underage drinking, meaning the consumption of any alcohol under the age of 18. Moreover, the Introduction Guide is responsible for preventing excessive use of alcohol during the ESN Introduction Week.

  • Treat others with respect (e.g. participants, other Introduction Guides, Student Managers at the International Student Houses, ESN Groningen staff and volunteers). Furthermore, make sure to keep in mind the different interests of the international students in your group.

You are obliged to follow an Introduction Guide briefing on Monday the 30th of January OR on Tuesday the 31st of January, which takes place from 19.00 - 20.00. You are obliged to be available for the final briefing and beginning of the Introduction Week programme on Friday 3rd of February from 17:00.

Note: After filling in this Google form, you are obliged to sign a digital contract based on the aforementioned and send the signed copy before the the 25th of January. In case you do not sign the full contract before the deadline, you cannot be an Introduction Guide and you will be removed from the list.
