Abolition Apostles Name Change Ranked Choice Voting
Hey everyone -- our name change is coming! This is the second step of a three-step process to decide the name. As a reminder, the steps are:
  • This initial "yes/no" vote for each name, with all of the submissions as options. This was shared on Slack and to folks who said they wanted to keep up with the naming process, and was completed on March 26, 2024.
  • Rank choice voting, with the top ~5 options we narrow it down to from the first step, which we'll send out on Slack, social media, and in our March newsletter (this form!). Inside and outside pen pals are encouraged to participate.
  • A final consensus vote of that winning name on Slack!
As a reminder, the purpose statement that we're working with is: To spark & support meaningful connections between people inside and outside prison in a way that transforms us all, rooted in our abolitionist belief that no one is disposable.
