Old North St. Louis Restoration Group will host our annual Home Tour & Art Fair on Saturday, September 16th to demonstrate the art of community in Old North. More than a dozen sites, including a mix of homes, community gardens, artworks, and neighborhood businesses will be open for visitors from throughout St. Louis. Visitors usually include many former residents who grew up in the neighborhood and come back every year to see how the neighborhood has changed, as well as prospective residents who want to get a sense of the community, and many others interested in neighborhood revitalization or historic preservation or sustainable communities.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the following shifts:

Pre-Tour Shift: Hours: 8:00 a.m.- 10 a.m.
# of volunteers needed: 6
Duties: inflating & tying balloons; setting out tables and chairs, setting up tents, delivering signs, balloons, and volunteer packets to all tour stops.

1st Shift - Registration: Hours: 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
# of volunteers needed: 4
The main tasks include: greeting attendees / visitors at registration table and serving ice cream to tour goers.

1st Shift - House Host: Hours: 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
# of volunteers needed: 22
The main tasks include: Greeting tour goers as you are stationed in one of the stops on tour. Checking wristbands and tour books to make sure everyone has a ticket, answer questions, and help hosts as needed.

2nd Shift - Registration: Hours: 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
# of volunteers needed: 4
The main tasks include: greeting attendees / visitors at registration table and serving ice cream to tour goers.

2nd Shift - House Host: Hours: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
# of volunteers needed: 22
The main tasks include: Greeting tour goers as you are stationed in one of the stops on tour. Checking wristbands and tour books to make sure everyone has a ticket, answer questions, and help hosts as needed.

Post-Tour Shift: Hours: 5 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.
# of volunteers needed: 10
Duties: retrieving balloons and signs from all tour stops; taking down tables, chairs, tents, etc..

Light refreshments will be provided, volunteers receive free admission to the tour and all volunteers are invited to the after-tour appreciation party tentatively scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
