Game jam research and reports on game jams are often mapping the positive aspects of game jams. But how about negative experiences? What kind of things can make the events unpleasant, less enjoyable, discouraging - or even unsafe? It is important to understand game jams from all different viewpoints, so this study gathers specifically stories on negative experiences on game jams.
How does this study define a game jam? A game jam is:
* an event that is organized by someone for more than one person
* self-defining itself a game jam for its audience prior to the event (as part of the name of the event or in a descriptive text on a website, Facebook page, company Slack, email or similar).
This survey focuses on experiences within Finnish game jam communities, but is not excluding other responses.
