Failure is an Option: Testing Medical Biomaterials
Are you interested in biomaterials and how we think about testing materials meant for the body? Then join us on March 6th from 1:00-1:45pm in an interactive conversation about medical biomaterials!

This hands-on, interactive activity will teach you about the fascinating field of biomaterials! You’ll learn about metal biomaterials, properties that make them valuable for treating disease, and safety testing. Together with a Professor of Chemical Engineering, undergraduate, and graduate students from The Cooper Union and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we’ll simulate metal biomaterial fatigue testing using paperclips.

We encourage you to bring 10-20 paperclips to join us in the at-home experiment, but it isn't necessary for you to attend.

Register below and we will send you the Zoom link on March 6th, so be on the lookout.

We hope to see you there!
