Sustainability Through Cooperation
The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals were passed in 2015, with the hopes of achieving their purpose by the year 2030. While many of the 17 goal areas have environmental implications - goals 11-15 have direct connections to environmental sustainability.

You will be using the UN’s Knowledge Platform developed for the Sustainable Development Goals to complete this assignment. You can access that website here - https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/

Working with a partner you will be researching a particular one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development goals to prepare a short presentation to your classmates about the general premise of the goal, how it contributes to the overall mission of the United Nations, how it fits into the UN’s environmental work, and then find an example of how the goal is being worked out somewhere around the world.
