Prenatal Breastfeeding Education Class by Omaha Breastfeeding Education

This half-day class is for pregnant mothers who are planning to breastfeed + 1 support person. We will cover the basics of how milk is made, the fundamentals of a good latch, what to expect in the fourth trimester in terms of breastfeeding and your own recovery, pumping and going back to work, bottle feeding, and more*!

The classes will be held in the conference room at the soon-to-open Moon Hollow Coffee location in Bennington. The address is 5102 North 156th St. and you will receive an email with pertinent information one week prior to the class date.

This class it taught by Therese Dansby (@happy.mama.healthy.baby), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2015. I have my own lactation private practice and I host a podcast called Milk + Motherhood! I have been teaching in-person breastfeeding classes since 2020, and I can't wait to bring this customized curriculum to our community.

The pumping education and pump rentals will be led by Melanie Horstman (@nurtureomaha), IBCLC since 2014. She has her own lactation private practice and also provides DME services for breast pump purchases through your insurance.

*This is a 3 hour in-person modified version of my online breastfeeding and postpartum course, which is a 5 hour self-led online course. The in-person class focuses on the first 12 weeks of your breastfeeding journey, which will be most immediately applicable.

Cost is $65 for mother + 1 support person to attend together.

You are not officially enrolled until you have paid. You should be able to pay with FSA/HSA cards or any credit or debit cards. If you have concerns or need a superbill to try to submit for reimbursement, please notify me via text (402) 740-2646 prior to the class date.
