WiDS Jordan is an independent event organized by Dr. Zaher Al-Sai, the Founder of the Big Data Minds MENA Community Organization and the Ambassador of WiDS @ Jordan.

The event is part of the annual WiDS Worldwide conference, the WiDS Datathon, and an estimated 200 WiDS Regional Events worldwide. Everyone is invited to attend all WiDS conference and WiDS Datathon Workshop events, which feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.

This year's WiDS Datathon 2023 will address the Challenge: Adapting to Climate Change by Improving Extreme Weather Forecasts. WiDS 2023 will focus on longer-term weather forecasting to help communities adapt to extreme weather events caused by climate change. 

The WiDS Jordan Datathon Workshops will be held for one day (February 25, 2023). The goal of the workshops is to refresh basic Machine Learning (ML) concepts. Also, it will introduce Deep Learning, Transfer Learning Models In Climate Change, and Machine Learning (ML) Using Python. Also, the workshops will cover the Extreme Weather Forecast: Weather Forecasting Model With ML Using Python. Moreover, it will include a session related to earthquake prediction in the age of climate change using AI and  Data Science.
