Welcome to the cohort signup! You're invited to participate in a 4-week cohort taking place in March. Time of day either Monday evenings or Saturday mornings. The cohort is free but I ask participants to commit to the whole 4 weeks. We will use my book as a guide to our time (I only have physical copies, but any bookstore will have it, or your local library might too.)
The rough outline for gatherings will follow a rhythm of:
1) Welcome, reflection practice;
2) 5-10 mins teach time;
3) Community reflections on the readings;
4) Community reflections on deconstructing/decolonizing;
The bulk of time will be devoted to sharing thoughts to affirm each journey of deconstructing/decolonizing the Christian faith. It's not therapy, but it can be life giving! N.B. This cohort is designed for those already on the path of deconstruction or decolonizing. We're not discussing the legitimacy of these movements and various other intersections. The assumption is the cohort will hold safe and brave space for one another. It is an affirming space, anti-racist, anti-ableist, and the expectation is you're OK with these postures. This is not a space to interrogate the validity of these intersections, rather, affirm your already unfolding path towards liberation. Admin: Planning for 1.5 hour time slots on a weekday evening. Cohort will be by Zoom. Selections below. The cohort is FREE but you have to find the book (so I guess not exactly free). Canadians will have an option to give to the registered charity behind A Beautiful Table (our church) should they wish. Space is limited per cohort (so the group isn't too big). The responses you submit are only for me and will not be shared beyond planning the cohort.
