Event Name: Model Display
RULES AND REGULATIONS
  1. Eligibility: The event is open to all Diploma, UG and PG students from any technical background and educational institution (approved by AICTE/UGC) all over the India.
  2. Team Size: Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 members.
  3. Registration: Registration of the team is mandatary for participation. Spot registration facility is not available.
  4. Model Categories: Participants can present models in two categories – (a) IT Category (IT/CSE/ECE/EE/EEE etc) and (b) Non-IT category (CE/ME). Each of the category is further classified into two levels, namely – (i) Diploma – BCA level and (ii) B.Tech – M.Tech – MCA level
  5. Model Guidelines: The models must be functional and demonstrate innovation, creativity, and engineering and/or scientific principles. The model should be innovative and should attempt to solve real world problems.
  6. Project Theme: Participants can choose any engineering project theme, but it should be related to the field of engineering and science and should be a new, innovative idea that hasn't been exhibited before. The project should have some practical application for betterment of our country, human society, environment, and our planet.
  7. Safety: The models should be safe and not pose a risk to the participants or audience. If the model being displayed involves any safety hazards, the participants should wear appropriate safety gear such as goggles, helmets, or gloves and proper safety messages must be displayed in front of the stall. Dangling jewellery are prohibited as it may cause hazards.
  8. Display Time: For two days (07th and 08th March, 2023) between 10 AM to 5 PM. Also, each team will have a maximum of 15 minutes to present their model in front of the judges and answer any questions.
  9. Display Area: Participants will be provided with a designated display area to showcase their model, which should not exceed the given dimensions. In general a single display area will be 3ft x 2.5 ft, which may be extended depending on necessity and availability. In case a much larger area is required, the students may contact the organising committee in advance.
  10. Documentation: The team should provide documentation detailing the design, materials used, and working principles of the model. Students/Teams must print and bring their own writings/ codes/ figures etc describing the model in a Flex or Chart paper to display in the stall.
  11. Equipment and Materials: Participants are responsible for bringing their own equipment and materials required to set up and display their models. One electric power point per project will be provided.
  12. Judging Criteria: The models will be evaluated based on their innovation, functionality, creativity, presentation, and applicability to real world problem. Judges will be from outside the hosting organisation. Judges’ decision will be final.
  13. Code of Conduct: Participants must abide by the code of conduct set by the event organizers and must not engage in any activities that disrupt the event or harm the reputation of the organizers. Students must be appeared in the event with a student like get up and proper uniform of their college / institution. Any unethical behaviour, plagiarism, violation of intellectual property rights or cheating will result in immediate disqualification. On violation of any of the code of conduct, the organising committee reserve the right to disqualify any team or a student and can take disciplinary action against them, if necessary.
  14. Intellectual Property: Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that their models do not violate any intellectual property rights and must obtain necessary permissions before using any copyrighted or proprietary material.
  15. Photography and Videography: Participants will grant the organizers the right to photograph, record, and use the images and videos of their models for promotional and publicity purposes.
  16. Plagiarism: Plagiarism of any kind will not be tolerated and will lead to disqualification from the event.
  17. Prize: Trophy / Medal and cash prizes are available for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place holders only in each category.
  18. Last Date: Last date of registration is 3rd March, 2023.
