Here's a good example from a prior class:
INTRODUCTION TO MARVELOUS MONOTYPE: Monotyping is a type of printmaking made by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The surface, or matrix, was historically a copper etching plate, but in contemporary work it can vary from zinc or glass to acrylic surfaces. Lisa will guide you through the process of using additive and subtractive methods with water based inks to create you own one-of-a-kind prints. Monotype is a fun medium that you can't "do wrong." All skill levels are appropriate - beginners can have fun learning a new skill; those with existing skills in monotype can hone and advance their existing talents. All supplies provided.
