Information about the history of a state can be found on many excellent, free websites like Wikipedia.com, History.com, and others. There are also many excellent sites students can use to learn the names and location of USA states, a couple of which can be found at

These will be states in the western and midwestern regions of the U.S., moving toward, but not yet including, the mid-Atlantic states. The original sequence is back, but 5 more states, in the southeast, have been added.
