Critter Camp counselor application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with St. Hubert's. Please review and complete this application with your parent/guardian. We may not be able to accept all individuals who would like to volunteer, and St. Hubert's retains discretion to accept or decline volunteer requests based on the needs of the program. We ask that camp counselors commit to 2 weeks of volunteering to be considered for the summer program. There is a required training session/orientation that must be completed prior to volunteering. You will be asked for your order of preference at the bottom of this application. 

Once your application has been received, you will receive a copy of the Camp Counselor Handbook which contains an overview of the program, including protocols and procedures. 

Applicants that are accepted into the program will be notified via email by mid May. You will also receive the training date that you have be assigned at that time. Questions can be forwarded to Karen Potocek kpotocek@sthuberts.org

Strong communication skills are critical at a shelter. The ability to communicate effectively with staff/other volunteers is a required skill. Describe your abilities to communicate effectively. *
Critter Camp counselors primary responsibility is supervising and engaging with children (ages 8-13). Please describe your experience working with children. This is not an animal handling role.  *
What qualities and skills can you bring to Critter Camp to ensure campers will have a memorable experience? *
Please provide an adult reference (NAME, PHONE, EMAIL, RELATIONSHIP) that can be contacted on your behalf. Your reference cannot be a family member and should be able to describe why you would be an ideal volunteer camp counselor. Teachers, coaches, or other supervisors are acceptable references. *
