Bob Jones Academy MS Robotics Contract, 2024-25

Team Mission: To emphasize the place of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) in our culture for the glory and honor of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ

Team Goal: To collaborate as a team to design build, and program a robot to compete in VEX VRC competitions.

Biblical World View: “Let you [robots] so shine before men, that they may see your good [designs] and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Robotics team members are “ambassadors” for Christ and BJA. II Corinthians 5:20

Teamwork, collaboration, defined:
  • Students will make changes to the robot only after all other teammates in attendance agree to the change using a matrix design evaluation.
  • Students must record changes made to the robot in the Engineering Notebook.
  • Changes made in the Engineering Notebook must reflect the standards expected at the competitive level.
  • The skills driver and tournament driver will be awarded as the result of competitions between the team members.
  • The robotics coach is the tiebreaking vote if necessary.
  • Students cannot work alone on the robot at any time. One team member left, other goes to Late Stay.
Respect and team rules defined:
  • Team members will not insult other team members in a joking or serious manner.
  • Team members will not physically touch another teammate or prohibit them from touching the
  •  robot.
  • The Support Committee will evaluate all referrals.
**I understand and accept the expectations and consequences listed above. I understand that attendance at the Saturday tournaments is required.
