SCAPA Friends of the Arts School (FOAS) offers a number of volunteer opportunities for parents/guardians as we work together to support SCAPA students and staff in 4th-12th grades at SCAPA Bluegrass & SCAPA Lafayette.  Opportunities range from year-long positions to single-event positions, individual spots to committee positions...there's something for everyone!  Together we help make SCAPA great!

What is a Parent Rep?
FOAS Parent Reps are essentially our version of homeroom parent.  Reps act as a liaison between FOAS and the SCAPA teacher of their specified area to assist as needed with coordinating classroom activities (parties, supply needs, volunteers), facilitate teacher spending of allocated FOAS funds, help coordinate area fundraisers as desired and any other general assistance.  Being a Rep is a great way to get to know the teacher(s) and other families that your student is with during their time at SCAPA.  Our goal is to have at least 2 Parent Reps for each grade level (4th-8th grades) and art area (2 Elem, 2 MS, 1-2 HS). We literally would not have the school we have without our fabulous Parent Reps!
