LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Michele Rodri was a young child when Nazi Germany invaded her native France. Shortly after the occupation, a German soldier found her playing in the streets of Paris and sent her to the Drancy transit camp. Her brother soon managed to secure her release, and brought her to a convent where she concealed her Jewish identity. She was later sent to live with a non-Jewish foster family, where she spent the rest of the war.
