SCPS K-12 Science Adoption Parent Participation Request
Thank you for your interest in the instructional materials adoption process. Between September 2023 and April 2024, the Department of Teaching and Learning will convene instructional materials adoption committees for the purpose of selecting new science textbooks in grades K-12. Per HB 1467, any district instructional materials adoption committee, "must include parents of district students."

If you are a parent of a student currently enrolled in Seminole County Public Schools and would like to serve on an adoption committee, please complete this form to indicate your interest in serving

Adoption committees require participants to attend for three full days of meetings. Voluntary participants are not paid. We will accept form submissions on a rolling basis, and the SCPS Coordinator of Instructional Projects, Dr. Maureen Scanlan, will review all submissions and select parents to serve on each committee. There are a limited number of participant seats available, so we may be unable to invite all interested parents to attend. Again, thank you for your interest in participating in this adoption process and taking the time to complete this form.

Prior to completing the following form, please review the adoption committee affidavit that all participating committee members are required to sign. Selected committee members will sign the affidavit on the first day of the adoption meetings.
