CDL Support Survey
McKenzie is preparing to set up two spaces where students can succeed in their Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) courses. These sites will not offer face to face instruction but allow your student to safely distance learn while accessing services. We've created this short survey to understand the need better and better understand how many people will be utilizing the service.

It is our hope in setting up these sites, that students will soon be able to transition to accessing course work four days a week instead of the current two days a week. We understand that this shift will take some adjustments on families schedules and as such will be flexible and make accommodations to support student attendance during this time.

The district will reopen the school and a new Springfield site at the Holiday Inn Express in the Gateway area to help students better engage in their courses while gaining access to breakfast, lunch, counseling and health services.

The district will provide transportation to these sites utilizing district buses ensuring safe student spacing and ventilation.

Both sites will follow the Oregon Department of Education's guidance in Ready Schools, Safe Learners. The safety guidelines include required masking, six-feet spacing, frequent hand hygiene, fixed cohort groups and tracking.

Support services will be provided between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at both sites. This is not a "drop-in" service, so we will need to prepare to maintain stable student cohort groups.

The target start date will be Monday, December 7, though it is subject to state and local COVID-19 metrics and guidance.

Attending these sites is not mandatory, but please respond to this survey to plan accordingly if your student will be accessing one of them.
