This award is to be presented annually to one member from each Chartered Local Association of the Arizona State USBC Association. The recipients will be selected by the Awards Committee of AZ State USBC Association from nominations submitted by an AZ State USBC member. This award was adopted and presented to help recognize members who have excelled during the prior bowling season or on a continuing basis in service to their local membership.
Requirements:
To have excelled in giving service to the local membership in volunteer hours, money raising for Youth Programs, bowling charities, BVL, Bowl for the Cure, promotion to increase participation in tournaments on all levels and to help with tournament operation in the capacity of registration, selling of souvenirs, general help in the office, monitors, etc. Also to excel in publicity, support of the Bowling Writers, editors, writers, publicizing tournament entry, youth programs, senior programs, bowling charities, BVL, Bowl for the Cure, league participation and/or help in forming new leagues.
Nominations:
Each local association must have two or more nominees submitted each year by December 1st to the Awards Committee. The Awards Committee reviews the nominations and selects the recipients to be honored each year. Awards will be presented at the Arizona State USBC Association Annual Meeting. If two nominations are not submitted, the nomination will be kept on file for three years. If a nominee(s) from a previous year is to be considered, you must notify the committee chairman, in writing, which nominee(s) you wish to be reconsidered. If a local association does not follow the above procedures, the committee will not be able to consider anyone from that local association for that year’s Award.
Limitations:
This award will be given to a recipient in each local association of the AZ State USBC. If no nominations are received from a local, no award will be given in that local association.
This is a lifetime award and no recipient may win the award more than once.
Current board members serving on the Board of Directors of the AZ State USBC Association are not eligible.
