CHIP Goal: Increase the number of individuals accessing substance use disorder services
Summary of 90 Day Dash Goal: We collectively decided to create a photovoice campaign centered on people who use or have used substances, who have been impacted by substance use disorder or overdose, and who are in recovery from substance use disorder. This campaign will tell their stories with the aim of both reducing community stigma toward substance use disorder and casting a light on the barriers to recovery that people in Lake County have experienced, helping us focus our efforts to mitigate those barriers. At the same time, SafeRx Lake County will create a website for people seeking recovery and treatment resources, which we can connect photovoice participants to. Finally, a long-term goal we identified was supporting the creation of a peer support center focused on recovery.
