PURPOSE

The Young Professionals PACE [Professional and Community Engagement] Awards are designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional young professionals in Danville and Pittsylvania County. The annual awards highlight up to five emerging leaders who have made significant contributions to the region through professional achievement and community involvement.

CRITERIA

1. Nominee must be under 40 years old.
2. Nominee must either live or work in Danville or Pittsylvania County.
3. Nominee must be employed by a member in good standing of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce.
4. Nominee must demonstrate the following:

• At least three years of professional work experience (in or outside of the region)
• Excellence, creativity and initiative in their company or profession
• Valuable service to the community by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others
 

NOMINATIONS

To nominate a young professional for the PACE Award, please complete the nomination form demonstrating the nominee’s commitment to the region and alignment with the above criteria.

Young professionals can nominate themselves or be nominated for the PACE Award. Complete submissions include the nomination form below, the nominee’s résumé and up to two letters of recommendation. Incomplete nominations will not be considered.

DEADLINE

All nominations must be submitted to the Chamber by May 3, 2024.

RECOGNITION

Award winners will be recognized during the Annual Awards Event on Wednesday, May 30, 2024.
