Model Shop Reservation Request 23/24
The Model Shop is booked on a session-by-session basis for rostered courses interested in doing in-class Shop Orientations as well as demonstrations. Note that all shop users must complete a Shop Orientation prior to a class session reservation. Faculty may not book the Model Shop for activities that could take place in a general-use classroom or studio such as lectures, critiques, or light fabrication. When the Model Shop is not reserved, classes can use the shop on an open shop basis for light fabrication. When reservations are confirmed, they are added to the Model Shop calendar, which is visible on Portal. This allows other faculty and student users to see when the shop is/is not available for open shop.

Faculty must provide a copy of their syllabus as part of the reservation process.
Please email the course syllabus to shops@cca.edu

Prior to requesting specific reservation dates, please review the Model Shop calendar on Portal for the latest availability: https://portal.cca.edu/learning/shops/model-studio/?q=model%20makin
Please note: All students, faculty, and staff must meet the minimum requirements for safe attire and personal protective equipment. PPE is provided during the orientation, but we cannot provide replacement attire. Please visit the portal page for more information.

Model Shop Reservation Guidelines:

 - The course syllabus must be submitted prior to reserving the shop
 - Maximum Instructional Session: 4 hours per week or one class session, whichever is shorter. Faculty may book up to 8 reservations/semester for 3 hour classes, 6 reservations/semester for 6 hour classes
