Milne Library is seeking participants for the Online Human Books Event during Fall 2020! Between now and September 16, we’re looking for suggestions and/or volunteers for potential Human Books as we strive to create a diverse and inclusive roster for the event. As part of Cultural Harmony Week, we are looking for stories related to cultural and racial diversity that represent Geneseo’s minorities.

A Human Book is someone with a unique perspective and a personal story to tell or a passion to share. They’ll engage with Geneseo students, faculty, staff, and members of the community in several small groups or individual conversations during the four-hour event. Though prepared remarks are fine, these are conversations, not presentations.

If you would like to participate as a Human Book, please fill out this form by September 16th. Selected Human Books will be notified by the end of September.

Participants will have 30 min. to check out a human book. The person volunteering for a human book should be available online at least for one hour. In this way multiple people can check out your story more than once.
