Instructor Application
At Lake Tahoe Yoga our focus is on community. We work in partnership with the people and groups in our area in order to build a more sustainable community in which people want to belong and support. As a teacher at Lake Tahoe Yoga you will be expected to support your students and grow not only your classes but the studio as a whole.

Teachers at Lake Tahoe Yoga are held to the highest standards. All teachers applying must hold or have applied for their RYT with the Yoga Alliance. All teachers are expected to be comfortable teaching to all levels and to offer variations and supports for practitioners in order to help them access the practice.

All Yoga guides at Lake Tahoe Yoga are expected to continue their studies through reading, experience and discussion with advanced teachers. Regular feedback will be given by the studio director and practitioners.

Teachers may choose to purchase a class card or membership to attend scheduled classes at Lake Tahoe Yoga.  Discounts may be extended based upon need.

All applicants interested in offering classes at Lake Tahoe Yoga must complete this form.  In addition, all Yoga instructors must show proof of training as well as registration with the Yoga Alliance (YTT) with 200+ hours of training.  Your insurance must include any locations at which you are scheduled to teach.

Payment Details
Instructors, teachers, and guides may choose the way in which they receive payment.

Payment Options:

1) Rental:
$50/Hour = Use of Bliss Experiences and available materials
$60/Hour = Use of Bliss Experiences, available materials and live streaming service

2) Contract:
$25/Hour = Minimum of 5 attendees, use of Bliss Experiences, available materials, and live streaming service

All classes will be listed on our booking system.  Contactors receive free advertising and promotion of their classes through Bliss Experiences.  Renters may pay $50/month to receive marketing and advertising benefits.

Choose one of our set options, or speak with our studio director if you have a unique offering or provision.  

All tips are the property of the lead teacher and may be distributed with their discretion.

Check the registration information prior to heading to the teaching location.  Teachers are responsible for managing their classes and checking in attendees.  Please practice satya.  You will not receive payment if there are no registered attendees or for participants who do not attend.

Additional payments may be included for unique groups, travel time, participation in events and other activities outside of scheduled sessions.  Additional training for Beach Yoga and Paddle Yoga is required.  Payment for outdoor classes varies.  Teachers who complete additional training in specific disciplines may be eligible to receive compensation.  Teachers who complete the 25 hour Lake Tahoe Yoga Raja-Hatha Teacher Course will earn an additional $5 per class.

All guides are required to agree to the studio management policies and will be expected to maintain studio cleanliness as it pertains to the most current CDC guidelines.  

*A one-time cleaning deposit of $50 is required for use of our physical space at Bliss Experiences.  In the case that damages or unsanitary conditions are the result of the instructor, teacher, or guide's use of the space this agreement is void and the deposit WILL NOT be returned.
