1 - Be a member in good standing
2 - Be willing to fulfill the obligations of the office in the capacity indicated
3 - Be willing to contribute time and energy to the chapter with the consent of your employer

Vice President of Education
Length of Term: 2 years
Average Time Commitment per month: 8 hours

Overview: Oversees the chapter monthly education programs, securing high-quality educational speakers.

Oversees the planning, contracting, execution, and follow up of monthly education and networking programs. Research, source, and secure high-quality educational speakers covering high-importance topics for the Meetings and Event Industry. Communicate details of chapter events with Marketing/Communications, Office of the President, and other departments. Act as coach, advisor, counselor, and back-up to Director of Programming.
Vice President of Communications
Length of Term: 2 years
Average Time Commitment per month: 8 hours

Overview: Manage the publications, marketing, advertising, community outreach, and advocacy efforts of the chapter, including: e-newsletters (2x/month), website, and social media efforts. Ensure chapter programs, activities, and accomplishments are highlighted. Communicate strategic issues relating to communications/technology to the MPIOK Board of Directors. Act as coach, advisor, counselor, and back-up to Director of Marketing
Vice President of Finance
Length of Term: 2 years
Average Time Commitment per month: 10-12 hours

Overview: Manage and supervise MPIOK financial efforts, including fundraising, sponsorships, and investments/reserves. Maintain proper accounting procedure for the receipt and handling of funds, maintenance of financial records, and paying all authorized invoices. Present up to date financial statements at each Board of Directors meeting. Make Board of Directors aware when chapter is close to budgetary limits. Attend monthly Office of the President meeting to review financials and discuss fiscal
 needs in advance of monthly board meeting. Prepare annual operating budget and ensure compliance once approved by the Board of Directors. Ensure safekeeping of Chapter funds in such banks and/or investments as approved by the Board of Directors. Renew all permits and authorized post office boxes. Comply with all governmental tax regulations and file Chapter tax reports as required. Act as coach, advisor, counselor, and back-up to Director of Strategic Alliance.
Director of Strategic Alliance
Length of Term: 2 years
Average Time Commitment per month: 8 hours

Overview: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and in-kind support for the Chapter. Monitor association and meetings industry trends to discover best practices in resource development. Develop, implement, and manage Chapter fundraising efforts and events. Ensure promotion of fundraising efforts. Follow through with collection of Strategic Partners funds and deliverables.
