Diversity in the Legal Profession
Wednesday, September 23, from 6pm to 7:30pm
Panel held on Zoom (meeting link to sent to registered attendees)

The Pre-Law Advising Office will be hosting a panel discussion on diversity in the legal profession, with a focus on the opportunities and challenges that often confront people of color in pursuing legal careers.  Four Binghamton alumni with extensive and varied experience in the law will lead our conversation and offer their insights on preparing for law school, building a professional network, and charting a path to a legal job.  They'll offer guidance along the way, both to students interested in following similar paths and to everyone invested in making the legal profession more equitable and inclusive.

Our panelists will include:

Shareema Abel ('94), Special Counsel for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Adjunct Professor at Hofstra Law School

Aisha Joseph ('98), Director of Academic and Career Advising, Deputy Title IX Coordinator, and Deputy Diversity Officer at New York Law School

William Wang ('00), Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the New York State Attorney General

Julian Harrison ('13), Attorney in Advertising Policy at TikTok

Any and all are welcome to attend! The session will meet virtually via Zoom, with the meeting link sent in advance to all registered attendees.  Please RSVP using this form. And if you have any questions, please contact prelaw@binghamton.edu.
