SDPC Youth Volunteer Leader

Dear Potential SDPC Youth Leader. I am so thankful and excited that you feel called to serve alongside us as we serve the students and families in our midst. We are currently looking for volunteer leaders to serve with us. First and foremost, our mission is to partner with families. When adults like you sacrifice their time to spend ministering to students, we are keeping our covenant promise made to parents at every baptism to partner with their them in equipping, resourcing, and encouraging them as the primary disciple-makers and faith trainers of their children. Our mission at SDPC Youth is not to take over for them but to be a resource alongside them.

Team dynamic is incredibly important to us. We are looking for men and women who have a mature and growing relationship with Christ and desire to lead students and to partner with families. We are not looking for people who view student ministry as a merely a social gathering for students to simply make friends (though it certainly isn’t less than that!). We also are not necessarily looking for people who fit a very specific personality type. Please do not let a merely matter of personality discourage you from serving! We are looking for adults who will commit to being spiritual role models to our students. Because we place high value on this ministry, we place great value in our leadership team as well. Once we have received your application, someone from our team will be in contact with you about a follow up interview shortly. All information will be kept strictly confidential.

Youth ministry is a great way to invest your time, use your gifts, and serve Christ and his Church. Thank you for approaching this process with prayer, we will be in touch with you soon!

In Christ,

Skyler Gerald

Director of Youth & Family Discipleship
