Olbrich's Summer Breeze offers an opportunity to spend a relaxing evening in the Gardens with friends and family on June 14 & 15 from 4-9 p.m.
!
Guests can enjoy a selection of classic lawn games, local food carts, refreshing beverages, live music, and pop-up workshops in the outdoor gardens. Admission is at the door (kiddos 5 & under are free) and once inside all of the activities are free, excluding food and beverage.
In the past, Summer Breeze included a variety of pop-up workshops including random acts of kindness flower bouquet making, flower crowns, printmaking, watercolor painting, and cyanotype printing. All art-making mediums are welcome. Workshops could also include more physical activities like scavenger hunts and games.
Consider a community collaboration - offer a concept that encourages guests to contribute or build a collective work of art with your guidance. Community poems, murals, mobiles, collage, etc.
We are excited to highlight local artists, makers, and instructors during these pop-up workshops at this year's Summer Breeze.
The DETAILS -
- Nature-based concepts are a plus
- Activities designed to appeal to all ages are encouraged
- Plan for a minimum of 100 participants (per date if applying for both event dates)
- Offer a take-away creation when possible
- Workshops must be suitable for an outdoor environment
- Budget should be all inclusive (instructor, assistants, materials, tools, etc.)
Olbrich Botanical Gardens is able to provide underwriting support, 8' tables, chairs, 10'x10' pop-up tents (limited number), power sources, and indoor accommodations in the event of inclement weather.
We anticipate featuring 2-3 pop-up workshops/activities on each day of Summer Breeze - June 14 & 15 (some workshops may repeat on both days).
