ESL 4 Assignment #34-35 - 5.7-8.20
Hi Students! We are continuing our unit on people who help in difficult times. Each day, we will be exploring and looking for those who are helping others, which will lead to a research- and narrative-based essay for MP 3.

Today and Friday:

STEP 1)    Study the Vocabulary Words below for our short quiz on MONDAY.

STEP 2)    On your own, research and find 3 examples of HELPERS during the COVID-19 crisis, anywhere in the world (different from the ones we read about on Newsela together). You will write about each helper, who they help and why, and provide the website link or source where you found the information.

SAVE A COPY OF THIS FOR YOUR RECORDS BECAUSE YOU MAY USE THE INFORMATION FOR YOUR ESSAY IN THE FUTURE.

HINT:    You can find so many helper examples out there! Maybe they are friends of yours (or you!) that you learn about on Facebook. I have a friend who is distributing masks with her daughter to firefighters, for example. Or, maybe you search on Google "helpers during COVID-19" and see what pops up. YOU ARE DOING RESEARCH, so it might take some time. YOU HAVE UNTIL FRIDAY AT 3 PM!

ATTENDANCE:  You can email me for attendance (ms.burd.123@gmail.com) or respond to the Google Form when you finish the work , but you must be in touch somehow today and tomorrow.
