SOMA Mentor Interest Form
Dear current osteopathic resident and attending physicians,

We are excited about launching the SOMA Alumni mentorship program. The primary aim of this program is to foster meaningful connections between osteopathic medical students and current residents and attending physicians in their respective fields of interest.

Our members have frequently encountered challenges when seeking suitable mentors, and this program represents our commitment to addressing this issue. When it comes to the time commitment and goals for mentorship, we are leaving it open-ended, allowing flexibility for mentor-mentee pairs to define their own parameters.

In addition to this, we are planning to extend invitations to mentor-mentee pairs for specific SOMA alumni events, often coinciding with AOA events. This provides an excellent opportunity for them to meet in person and further enhance their mentorship journey. However, I want to emphasize that attendance at these events is not mandatory; it is entirely at the discretion of the participants.

Thank you once again for your interest and support in making this program a success. We are looking forward to witnessing the positive impact it will have on the growth and development of our SOMA community.

Please fill out the below form if you are interested in mentoring a current SOMA member. Please do not hesitate to reach out to membershipandalumniaffairs@studentdo.org if you have any questions at all!
