CDHA Nominations for 2023-2024 Term
This is your chance to become an active member of the Cleveland Dental Hygienists' Association. Nominate yourself or a colleague in a leadership position! 

Nominees will be contacted by the Nominating Committee beginning March 18th and elections information will follow.

ODHA Annual Session 11/3/23- 11/5/23

1. Nominee for President
President: (One-year term) presides at all meetings of the Association and Executive Board. Is the official representative of the Association in all of its contacts for the purpose of advancing the objectives and policies of the Association. Answers all correspondence referred to the President and keeps accurate records.
2. Nominee for President Elect
President Elect:  (One-year term) assists the President when called upon and becomes the President the following year. The President-Elect is also responsible for any CDHA fundraising efforts.
3. Nominee for Vice President
Vice President: (One-year term) is the chair of the program committee arranging speakers for Continuing Education courses as well as securing sponsorship for these courses. The VP receives free registration for continuing education courses offered during their term. Planning the meeting location and arrangements are included and generally functions as the Continuing Education chairman.
4. Nominee for Treasurer
Treasurer:  (Three-year term) is the custodian of all funds of the Association. The Treasurer collects all monies due to the Association, keeps accurate records of the running balance in the checking and savings accounts, and provides reports at all Board meetings of all monies on hand. Additionally, the Treasurer handles all correspondence related to monetary issues.
5. Nominee for Secretary
Secretary:  (One-year term) takes the official minutes of the Board Meetings and any General Meetings, as well as compiles and distributes a list of the Board members to the membership, officers, and appropriate associations. The Secretary also sends notification and minutes of meetings to Board members, and any other appropriate correspondence.  
6. Nominee for Trustee
Trustee: (Two-year term) shall discharge their powers and duties so as to be in the best interests of the entire Association. Component Trustees shall accurately report, in a timely way, to their membership such actions as may be taken by the Board of Trustees of ODHA, which shall or may affect such Component members. Serve as a member on the ODHA Board of Trustees (BOT), serve as a member of the House of Delegates (HOD), but without vote.
7. Nominees for (7) Delegates
Delegates:  (Two-year term) are the voting members representing CDHA at The Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association Annual Session House of Delegates! Delegates must have previously served as a Committee Chairperson, Officer, Trustee, Alternate Delegate, or Delegate to be eligible for election. They are required to fulfill duties as prescribed by the Trustee which includes attending ODHA Leadership Retreat, CDHA Pre-Annual Session Meeting, and ODHA Annual Session. 
8. Nominees for (7) Alternate Delegates
Alternate Delegates: (One-year term) are the same as Delegates (above), except they serve as a voting member of the House of Delegates only in the absence of a Delegate. The cost of the hotel and registration will be partially reimbursed by CDHA.

Please note: Alternate Delegates are required to attend ODHA Leadership Retreat, CDHA Pre-Annual Session Meeting, and ODHA Annual Session.
