Thank you for your interest in TransWorks Job Readiness Workshop! This workshop is intended for individuals that identify as trans, gender non-conforming, and non-binary who have little to no "formal" work experience and are looking for support around employment and/or entering the workforce. We will be covering topics such as: resume building, interviewing, job searching, networking, self-care, community building, TGNC-specific legal information, workplace discrimination, name change, virtual/working from home, and more!

The workshop will be VIRTUAL, presented in English, and take place from Tuesday, March 2, 2021 to Friday, March 5, 2021. Each day will begin at 10:00 AM and go until 2:00 PM, with Thursday March 4, 2021 requiring an additional 30 minutes from 2:00-5:00 PM for a Mock Interview to occur with a Chicago House staff member.

Incentive for participation will be $200.00 ($50 per day) and a customized TransWorks tote bag with job readiness supply and goodies!

This is a first come-first serve basis! All applicants will be contacted about their application regardless of acceptance into the workshop. Additional Chicago House TransWorks employment case management will be offered to anyone interested in becoming a client of the program or in need of services. (*Spanish speaking career specialist available.)
