WHAT WILL HAPPEN:
ERC staff and leadership have planned a program filled with fun and often messy activities. Volunteers will arrive and complete training around Child Protection and working with kids with Edmund Rice Camps Staff. After that kids will arrive and be welcomed to the program. Volunteers and kids will participate in the program alongside each other and have fun, share meals, sing songs and make mess. Volunteers and kids will assist the Eddie Rice team to finish cleaning up and then debrief the program after the kids have left.
EXTRA INFORMATION;
- ERC will provide a vegetarian option for every meal
- ERC will assist with additional dietary requirements through collaboration
- ERC will provide basic medical response and first aid
- ERC will provide clear safety, risk management and mental health practices and procedures
- Social Distancing will be in place at all times where safe and practical (For example, participants and volunteers will still engage in activities but they will be designed to have minimal physical contact and spread people out across a large area)
- Self-Hygiene will be a constant practice completed by all (For example, applying Hand Sanitizer before and after every activity and meal)
- Cleaning regimes will be implemented to match standards (For example, all surfaces will be cleaned before and after every activity and meal)
- Catering will be individually sourced and not self-served (For example, we may order salad rolls for lunch on the day of the program based on an order)
