The Mercer Island Community Fund (MICF) recognizes the need to support all members of our community through grant making and community connection. The Community Connection Directory is a resource for Mercer Island community members who want to get involved with mission based organizations. To participate in the directory with a listing, your organization must be seeking engagement with all members of the community to participate in your mission or work and have agreed to the statement below. The two requirements for participation are:
(1) Your organization must agree to the following statement, a Commitment to Promote Belonging: Our organization believes diversity of race, ethnicity, age, national origin, sexual orientation, cultural identity, religion, sex, gender, ability, and socioeconomic status makes us stronger and more able to serve our community. We are committed to promoting a culture of inclusion and belonging.
(2) Your organization must share a single link to your website or a place online where you share:
- Mission or purpose of your organization and a brief description
- Membership (if relevant) opportunities, including fees, commitment required and timing of recruitment
- Volunteer (if relevant) opportunities, including fees and commitment required
- Leadership opportunities, including expectation of giving, length of service commitment, any special skills
which are helpful or required, timing of recruitment etc.
