As our school has responded to the rapid changing landscape of the classroom, teachers will be able to setup a live video to engage with their students to read them a book or to undertake a Q&A in response to the Unit of Work that has been set. We may use live time video-chat with students through Zoom or Microsoft Teams. This video conference option is to be used only for discussion or question and answer sessions, this is not a platform for direct instruction of new content, as all students may not be able to participate in the live session. These live video-chats can not be recorded by anyone (teachers, students, parents, etc.) Anytime that staff and students use live video-conferencing, it is against the law to record. To participate, parents must have given permission on the online slip. Teachers will review responses to these forms to ensure parental permission before allowing students to enter into a live video-conference.
