This event aims to educate individuals so that they can make an informed decision on whether or not to support the movement. This is not an event that is trying to critique the individual (police officers) it is an objective critique of the institution.

Event Learning Outcomes:

- To learn and understand the meaning behind defund movements/what defund the police is.
- To understand the historical context of defunding the police and how it shows up differently geographically.
- To see what a successful defund movement looks like.
- To understand the implications of reallocating funding from policing and how this has the potential to benefit surrounding communities.
