Public Comment Being Accepted Regarding Section 9.0 Revision to the Standards and Guidelines

On May 12th, 2023 the Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB) reviewed and approved revisions to Section 9.0 to be sent out for public comment. At this time, the DVOMB is requesting public comments on these proposed revisions. The Board is offering all stakeholders the opportunity to comment and the Application Review Committee will be reviewing the public comments at a future meeting in 2023.These changes create an Associate Level Candidacy that would replace the current Trainee Level.

What's changes are being proposed?

Under these changes, once approved as an Associate Level Candidate, that person would be placed on the DVOMB Approved Provider List while under a Domestic Violence Clinical Supervisor. If the Associate Level Candidate wants to continue working as an Approved Provider, they would submit a practice level application for continued placement on the DVOMB Approved Provider List as an Associate Level Provider. The changes suggested in the Section 9.0 revisions also create a pathway for Certified Addiction Technicians (CAT) to be eligible to apply as an Associate Level Candidate. At this time, the DVOMB is requesting public comments on these proposed revisions. The Board is offering all stakeholders the opportunity to comment and the Application Review Committee will be reviewing the public comments at a future meeting in 2023.
