Imagine writing more in the new year! In this 1-hour workshop, Richard Leis and Reneé Bibby of The Writers Studio Tucson will lead a literary poetry exercise. Suggested Donation: $10 - $25

Your favorite poets use narrative techniques like persona narrators, point of view, mood, and tone to explore ideas and feelings in concise language. Together, we'll take a look at a literary poem and study some of the elements of craft the poet uses, and then you'll start writing your own poem based on these techniques! Near the end of the workshop, there will be an opportunity for attendees to share what they wrote.

The Tucson branch of The Writers Studio operates like our flagship New York City school — with the same workshop model designed to help students discover and nurture their own voices by “trying on” many approaches to fiction and poetry. The Writers Studio Tucson welcomes students at all stages.
