Information and Itinerary
Friday, June 2
8:30 a.m. Registration Opens!
Please park in the designated NC LETR
parking located at 4700 Trinity
Rd, Raleigh (Carter Finley Stadium - Gate C)
9:30 a.m. Line up and opening announcements
10 a.m. 2023 Final Leg run begins!
Final Leg run distance 5 miles with a break at Meredith College; support
vans will be available for entire run.
11:30 a.m. Approximate finish and 2023 Final Leg photo opportunity at the North
Carolina State Capitol.
11:45 a.m. Transportation provided by charter bus back to stadium for Guardians of
the Flame® lunch.
12:30 p.m. Guardians lunch and awards hosted at Carter Finley, TowneBank Center.

6:30 p.m. Guardian of the Flame Circle of Honor Reception
North Carolina State University, Reynolds Coliseum.
Parking available
at Coliseum Deck, 201 Jensen Dr., Raleigh. Please wear Class A
long-sleeve uniform/dress uniform and hat for ceremony.
7:30 p.m. 2023 Special Olympics North Carolina Summer Games Opening Ceremony
and Circle of Honor at NCSU Reynolds Coliseum.
Saturday, June 3
8 a.m.-4 p.m. Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) Summer Games athlete competition and medal
presentations
